Thank you for your interest in Four Corners Animal League. As you know we our non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to ending animal overpopulation in Taos. We are in desperate need of volunteers who have it in their hearts to help our local animals. We have listed below some of the volunteer positions available. Volunteer positions available:

Client Service
Check voice mail messages, return calls, mail brochures and spay/neuter applications.

Grant Writer
Join a team of board members who are in the process of applying for national grants.

Public Outreach
Attend fairs and festivals. Hand out spay/neuter and humane education literature.

Humane Educator
Attend 4-hour training to become a humane educator. Facilitate animal education presentations at local schools & community meetings.

Organize files, stuff envelopes, collate, etc.

Foster Pet Parent
Provide temporary home to a pet waiting for adoption. You must have a fenced yard and have a big heart!

Animal Transport
Drive animals to cut-off state shelters where they will be adopted.

Fund Raisers
Approach local residents and businesses for tax-deductible donations.

Animal Lobbyist
Present legislation to state and local governments for spay/neuter and animal rights laws.

Community Relations
Build relationships with other agencies and create a referral network that offers assistance with adoption, rescue and emergency care.

Two or more volunteers can share most of the positions listed above. They require only a few hours of your time a week and makes a huge impact on helping our local animals. If you have a heart for helping animals and you can commit a few hours of your time weekly or monthly, please consider volunteering.

In addition to the positions listed above, we are in need of a volunteer coordinator. The volunteer coordinator will sit on the board of directors and must be dedicated to the FCAL commission. We are looking for someone with strong leadership abilities who is highly organized and inspires others. Management or sales management background are a plus, computer savvy required.
