The Charlie and Max Story

On July 26th, two frightened herding dogs were discovered hiding beneath a travel trailer, abandoned and without identification. With the help of Four Corners Animal League and the dedication of Pennie Wardlow and Maria Grazia Selzer, what began as a rescue effort slowly became something more. Through patience, care, and support, these once-timid dogs found safety, healing, and ultimately a forever home—becoming loyal family members and a powerful reminder of how life-changing rescue can be for both animals and humans.

The Lor Foundation

We are so thankful to the Lor Foundation for $5000 to go towards spaying, neutering dogs and cats, giving vaccines and health certificate to transfer pups out of state. For $2500 for supplies, dog houses, kennels, tarps, tie downs, bedding to fosters that are taking in dogs and cats through these winter months, $2000 for food to the fosters that are caring for dogs and cats keeping them warm and fed this winter while looking for homes. The Lor Foundation cares about Taos community in many different ways and we thank them for their support and contributions!
